Jimbocho, the town where BUNGUBOX is located, is considered Japan's Quartier latin (Latin Quarter)

It got this name because it is a student town with many universities, used book stores, and coffee shops.

March 21st, 2023, is when BUNGUBOX moved to this location.

To celebrate the 3 years we have been in Jimbocho, we have produced a Maki-e fountain pen that celebrates our beloved town of coffee shops and used bookstores.

We have named this, "Quartier Latin blend"

On the barrel are images of coffee beans spilling out of their burlap bags.  Those beans get ground by mill and poured into the various coffee cups on the cap.

You can almost hear the lively conversations taking place amongst the students in the coffee shop!
